Who is Jemutai’s Spouse?

We are exploring entertainment in Kenya and as far as this write-up is concerned, we are focusing on Jemutai and finding out who her spouse is. Her husband has been identified as Professor Hamo.

Before that, let’s fill you in on who this amazing personality is. Jemutai’s real name is Stella Bunei Koitie. She is a Kenyan comedian, emcee and social media influencer who has made several appearances on our screens.

On NTV’s Churchill Show, she has consistently displayed her bone-crunching humour. She always plays a youthful, naive village girl discussing her life experience in Nairobi in her comedic works. She always dons a headscarf, socks, and country clothing.

She was raised in Elgeyo Marakwet, where she was also born. Later, she moved to Embakasi Nairobi with her parents, where she currently resides.

She has consistently been a fan favourite on the Churchill show. The late Nicolas Biwott’s favourite comedian was the endearing Stella. Jemutai first gained attention when she appeared on the Churchill show.

At the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Jemutai pursued an IT study. Jemutai was hired as an IT support technician intern at Kengen Olkaria after graduating. Jemutai had to put her job on hold in order to pursue her true passion, which is comedy, as she no longer felt motivated to pursue it.

What is Jemutai’s relationship status?

Jemutai's Spouse

Although Jemutai’s relationship status is not often discussed in the public domain, it’s widely believed that she is married to an industry colleague and a radio presenter whose stage name is Professor Hamo, real name Herman Kago.

In a previous publication sighted on some websites, Jemutai called out her husband and dragged him for being irresponsible. She said Prof. Hamo has failed to cater for her and their two children as well as shunning their numerous bills.

“I am a mother of two and a comedian. Life is becoming hard every day and I have lots of arrears. I want to sell my Facebook account to anyone in business. It has over 850,000 followers. I am selling at Kshs. 2 per follower,” Jemutai pleaded.

“I want to be able to start a business and take care of my children. I know it is was a desperate move but I wanted to pay my bills. As a mother I would do anything for my kids,” she added on her social media pages.

In her message, Jemutai asked her followers not to blame Daniel Ndambuki (Churchill), as witnessed in previous situations. As per Jemutai, Churchill has always been castigated for the plight of struggling comedians who were nurtured under his wing.

“I don’t want anyone to blame Churchill as I don’t have any issues with him. He is such a nice boss. Selling my account was my personal decision because that’s like my asset,” Jemutai pleaded.
