Why I Regret Being A Ghanaian Actor- Veteran Actor, Jagger Pee

Veteran Ghanaian actor, Jagger Pee has stated in a new interview why he has regret being a Ghanaian actor.
The thespian who started his movie career in the 1980s told Ghanaweekend.com in a fresh interview that the acting profession in Ghana is not lucrative.
He said the remuneration they get is ludicrous which somewhat explains why veterans like himself are struggling financially in their old age.
Jagger Pee who rejuvenated his career when he featured in the now defunct Chorkor Trotro TV series said when he comes back to this world again, he won’t ply his trade as an actor in this part of the world.
“Seriously, If I were to die and reincarnate, I would prefer being an actor abroad than in Ghana…the acting profession is good but not in Ghana…Ghana is really a crappy location to make acting your Profession. You act for many years and the money is just peanuts,” he sadly stated.
He further added, “even though the Ghanaian movie industry is not booming, we are still soldiering on just to pave the way for our successors in the industry to come and possibly make a change”.
Jagger Pee starred in many hit movies and TV series like TV Theatre, ‘Ogboo’, ‘Fatal Decision’ ‘Man Woman’ and a host of others.
