Why I Will Never Allow My Daughter to Marry A Pastor – Counsellor Charlotte Oduro

Known for her profound and thought-provoking counselling sessions, Counsellor Charlotte Oduro has ‘come through’ with another theory hinged on why she will never allow her daughter to get involved with a pastor in holy matrimony.

Buttressing her controversial statement while in the studios of Rainbow Radio, the mainstream counsellor said marrying a pastor tends to imprison a woman as the man of God tends to be more inclined towards his church members than his own wife.

”Some pastors give their members more care than their family. They do so, especially with people who have money. What they say is what he listens to. He gives all the attention to the members and does not even have time for his wife. Some pastors can maltreat their wives because of some members they are associated with,” she argued.

In the same vein, Charlotte Oduro said on a different platform that the youth who rush to enter into the institution of marriage should exercise restraint.

The famed marriage coach noted that unnecessary pressure has forced a lot of people into marriage, the aftermath of which has been disastrous.

“If you are listening to me and you are unmarried, God has blessed you. Don’t rush into marriage. Survey it very well. Most of us allowed pressure to force us into marriage. Today we regret marrying. People don’t say the truth, but some of us will.”

Speaking further, Rev. Charlotte Oduro said many people have regretted marrying their spouses as many married couples are constantly finding ways to hurt each other.

“Take 100 women and men, and 99 of them would wish they did not get married. Because they have married a man who is envious of their progress. Some have married women who are out to destroy their destinies.”

“We said we love each other, so why are we out to hurt and cause pain to each other? A man can go behind his wife to try and destroy her. A man will tarnish his wife to other women. Women hire gunmen to kill their husbands,” she blurted out on Peace FM.
