A Plus Blast Ghanaians For Defending ‘Criminal’ NAM1

Kwame A Plus, asserts that some Ghanaians are to be blamed for the challenges the country is currently facing, including the controversies surrounding Nana Appiah Mensah, commonly referred to as NAM1, the CEO of defunct gold dealership firm Menzgold.

He stated that when pressing national issues are being discussed on TV, some Ghanaians would rather insult people of his ilk from the comfort of their homes instead of focusing on the issues they are raising.

“The painful thing is that Ghanaians are part of it because, for example, my kids don’t go to Korle-Bu hospital for treatment; they don’t have Ghanaian passports, I will say it if it hurts you to go and kill yourself… So if I sit on social media and talk about children hospitals, I’m talking for the people who are left behind.”

“Some Ghanaians, when issues arise and we sit on TV to discuss them, would rather be sitting at home insulting us. People who are suffering insult people more than anyone else. If we sit here to discuss issues, we are not doing it for ourselves; we are speaking for those who have been defrauded and do not have anyone to speak for them… So when we are speaking, we are speaking for the ordinary people who are suffering.”

During his appearance on the United Showbiz Show on August 26th, Kwame A Plus expressed his concerns regarding the continued freedom of NAM1, highlighting the opposite treatment of suspected fraudsters in developed nations.

“These things don’t happen only in Ghana; they occur in America on Wall Street, and they arrest the people. Why is it that someone who stole plantains or yams because he was hungry gets between 5 and 10 years in prison, but NAM1, who has stolen money from many people, is still free?”

He expressed sympathy for those who had invested their hard-earned money with Menzgold, believing that their actions were a result of a combination of desperation and ignorance. However, he demanded that Nam1 be taken into custody rather than just issuing statements of caution.
