Today marks the 79th birthday of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Twitter has been flooded with Ghanaians thanking him for his leadership and wishing him well for his part in the country’s progress because of his policies.
Many also hoped he would live a long and healthy life so that he could carry on his administration’s positive policies.
Rebecca Akufo-Addo, the president’s wife, has also used the social media platform to express her admiration for her husband. She said
“Happy birthday to my dear husband and the President of the Republic with a Love emoji.”
In a tweet, his Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, also wished him well and hoped that God would continue to provide him with the knowledge, health, and longevity he needs to lead Ghana. Dr Bawumia said
“I wish my boss President @NAkufoAddo a happy birthday. I thank you and appreciate you. May God continue to give you the wisdom, good health and long life to direct the affairs of our motherland Ghana.”

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. was born to former President Edward Akufo-Addo, a member of the Big Six, and Adeline Akufo-Addo on March 29, 1944.
He was Attorney General from 2001 to 2003 and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2003 to 2007 under the administration of Kufuor. He became president on January 7, 2017, after winning the 2016 presidential election. He is presently in his second term after winning re-election in 2020.
