Alordia Uses Awards For Visa Connections- Kwasi Aboagye Alleges

The ongoing verbal dispute between Eric Nii Tetteh, also known as Alordia, Chief Executive Officer of the Taabea Ghana Music Awards UK, and renowned broadcaster Kwasi Aboagye has escalated to a new level.

During a recent episode of his program on Peace FM, Aboagye discussed his previous friendship with Alordia and refuted the false claims made by him, including the accusation that he was a snitch.

Aboagye took a firm stance, stating that Alordia’s public persona was not reflective of his true character and that he was using his award scheme as a front for visa racketeering.

He also pointed out that Alordia’s recent claim of purchasing a ticket for him was unlikely, given that Alordia drives for Uber in the UK and is not in a financial position to do so. In a previous interview, Alordia had dismissed Aboagye’s criticisms of the awards scheme as baseless and insulting to the effort put into organizing the event.

Aboagye had raised concerns about the £80,000 payment made to musician Shatta Wale by the organizers of the event and called on UK tax authorities to investigate the matter. Alordia responded by accusing Aboagye of jealousy and ill intentions, claiming that the journalist had repeatedly asked him to purchase tickets for him to travel to the UK, but he refused due to Aboagye’s ulterior motives.

“Kwasi Aboagye has been chasing me over the last two years to buy a ticket for him to come to the UK. But I refused because I knew he had no good intentions for me. He had invited me to his show three times, and anytime they invited me, they set me up.

“Listen to him and how he speaks; he talks out of hatred. I am an entertainment person, and when you want to set me up, you will not succeed. He hates me and does not mean well for me.

“Is he in my accounts? Is he my brother? Is he my friend? Can’t you examine why what he said came from pure hatred? He made silly and stupid comments. I am sorry to use these words, but some people are taking us for granted. Because I am a reserved person, some people think I am cool. I am cool, but if you choose to give me war, I will give you war,” he said in interview on Rainbow Entertainment on Rainbow Radio 92.4Fm in the UK.

During the Tuesday edition of his show on Peace FM, Kwasi Aboagye responded to Alordia’s claims by refuting that he had begged for a ticket to the UK. Aboagye clarified that Alordia had offered to secure a ticket for him after providing him with free airtime to promote his awards show in the UK over the years on his show.

Aboagye emphasized that at the time when Alordia allegedly promised to get him a ticket, one of his close friends in the UK had questioned whether Alordia could afford to buy a ticket given his job as an Uber driver, which seemingly struggled to cover his expenses in the UK.

Furthermore, Aboagye highlighted that he held a valid UK visa for ten years, making him entirely self-sufficient regarding travel plans. He added that if he ever needed a ticket, he could have easily approached his boss, Fadda Dickson, who would have readily arranged it.
