Andy Dosty Confronts DJ At Grammy Nominee Brunch For Not Playing Ghanaian Songs
Hitz FM presenter and DJ Andy Dosty put on his patriotic cloak during his visit to Los Angeles for the Grammy nominee jam preceding the 65th Grammys as he confronted the DJ of the day about why he wasn’t playing Ghanaian songs.
He therefore made his way towards the DJ to express his disappointment at the absence of Ghanaian songs in the playlist, which was predominantly filled with Nigerian tracks.
In a video shared by Andy Dosty himself, he could be seen fully immersed in the music, nodding his head in sync with the rhythm. However, his enthusiasm was dampened by the lack of representation of Ghanaian music.
Determined to address this apparent bias, he informed his friends of his intention to approach the DJ.
Much to Andy Dosty’s surprise, the DJ who had been entertaining the crowd with Nigerian songs had departed before his arrival.
Nevertheless, DJ Juls Baby, a British DJ of Ghanaian descent, stepped in and raised the bar by playing captivating Ghanaian tunes. This remarkable performance by DJ Juls Baby greatly impressed Andy Dosty, leading to a delightful exchange of warm pleasantries between the two.
