Asake O2 Concert: Mr Logic Reveals The One Obstacle Facing Ghanaian Musicians

Talent manager Mr. Logic claims that the accomplishments of Nigerian musician Asake and his colleagues are not significantly extraordinary, as Ghanaian artistes possess the capability to achieve similar achievements.

Mr. Logic has spoken out against the absence of real support and funding in the music industry, stating that this is the main factor holding the industry back.

He strongly disagrees with the claim that Shatta Wale is slowing down the music business.

Mr. Logic said on UTV’s Showbiz Night that artists who have the potential to achieve the same success as Nigerian artistes are discouraged from receiving funding due to constant negative comparisons and criticism. He stated that the huge international success of Nigerian musicians is due to big investments and help from the industry.

Mr. Logic disproved the notion that established artistes like Shatta Wale can’t sell out arenas like London’s O2. He said that the negative talk about the industry has made investors less confident, which harms both artistes and their widespread acceptance.

Who says Shatta Wale who has been in the industry for the longest running, can’t fill up the O2 arena? It’s because investors have lost confidence due to the constant negative conversations that surround the artistry, and it affects the artists and their prominence. There is nothing too extraordinary that Asake and his colleagues are doing that the Ghanaian artists can’t do; we are equally capable of doing the same. Let’s not belittle our creatives for trying their best,” he said.
