Following Emmanuel Yeboah’s stellar performance in Ghana’s opening game of the ongoing CAF Under-23 AFCON which saw him grab a brace against Congon on Sunday 25, 2023, legendary Ghanaian footballer, Asamoah Gyan has taken to Twitter to heap praises on him.

Emmanuel Yeboah who won the Man of the Match honour in Ghana’s exciting victory over Congo was praised for his outstanding performance by Gyan who recently retired from football.

At the Rabat’s Prince Moulay Stadium, Emmanuel Yeboah distinguished himself by scoring two goals in the span of 45 minutes to lead the Ghana U-23 national team to a 3-2 victory over their Congolese opponents. Yeboah’s potential was crucially recognized by Asamoah Gyan, who couldn’t contain his joy and praised the young striker’s performance on Twitter.

He tweeted, “His name is 99 ideas.” In another tweet, Gyan confidently added, “I told you so.”

Despite replacing captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh in the second half, it only took four minutes for the young forward from CFR Cluj to make his presence felt as he teamed with teenager Ernest Nuamah to give Ghana the lead.

Emmanuel Yeboah took advantage of a wonderful opportunity in the 74th minute to increase Ghana’s lead to 2-0. He displayed his agility by deftly controlling a lobbed pass with his head before simply putting the ball into the goal.

Yeboah maintained his impressive play by scoring his second goal from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute. Congo, on the other hand, made a miraculous comeback and scored twice in stoppage time to add intrigue to the game’s climax.
