How Shatta Wale Begged Mahama In Airplane- Dr Lawrence Tetteh Shares Details
During the latest episode of the GTV Breakfast Show, which aired this morning on May 2 hosted by Kafui Dey, Ghanaian clergyman Pastor Lawrence Tetteh shared an intriguing story involving Shatta Wale.
According to Pastor Tetteh, he, John Dramani Mahama, and Shatta Wale coincidentally found themselves on the same aircraft heading to London.
He said although the situation appeared to be planned, it was a mere coincidence. Sharing the story, he said while en route to London, Shatta Wale approached him and requested a favour.
In his words, the controversial artist pleaded with him to accompany him in apologizing to former president John Dramani Mahama, who happened to be seated nearby.
Upon reaching Mahama, Wale knelt down and tearfully expressed remorse for using offensive language towards the ex-president.
In response, Mahama graciously forgave him, stating that he had forgiven him wholeheartedly. You can watch the video of this incident on Tru News Report.
According to the pastor:
“Numoo I threw certain words at President Mahama and I feel guilty to go to him. I said oh no. So I held his hands and I went to President John Mahama.
This is not a secret, I can share the video with you. Then he said I’ve forgiven you. Then Shatta Wale went on his knees and was crying so I was so touched. That was the first time to have met Shatta Wale that he has not blown the thing on me.
This is what we all want to see. We how Shatta Wale is but he humbled himself and asked the ex-president to forgive him and president Mahama said I’ve forgiven him and he said you are a bad boy, you brought a whole man of God to come and do this to me. What do you expect me to say.
Shatta Wale won my respect. When we got to London Shatta Wale sent a message to me saying that he didn’t know how to go about this for four or five years now,” he said.
