Black Sherif is Okomfo Anokye Reincarnate- Bosom Pyung

Bosom Pyung, the man noted for his one single hit song, ‘Ataa Adwoa’ has spoken highly of his colleague Black Sherif by insisting that he’s the second coming of Okomfo Anokye.

Pyung equally had huge potential when he burst into the mainstream with the aforementioned song and was widely predicted that he will take over the music scene but sadly he fizzled into oblivion, unlike Black Sherif who has chalked a series of success after he shot into the limelight not too long ago.

Mainstream online portal PulseGhana shared a photo of Black Sherif on their main Twitter platform and that was when Pyung emerged under the post to say he will tell his kids that the Kwaku the Traveller hitmaker was actually Okomfo Anokye.

Okomfo Anokye was the first priest (Okomfo) of the Ashanti Empire. Anokye is known for his participation in the expansion of the empire. He was also the codifier of the constitution and laws of the Ashanti Empire.

Okomfo Anokye was born in Ghana around 1655. According to Akuapem tradition, he was the son of Ano and Yaa Anubea, both from Awukugua in the Nifa Division of the Okere state. His name originated from the following incident:

After Osei Tutu’s death in 1717, Anokye is said to have returned to Akuapim and died at a town called Kyirapatre in Kumase between 1717 and 1719 (aged between 62 and 64). The real cause of his death is not known and it is said that he was going to bring the key to death.
