Black Stars Players Arrive In Ghana Ahead Of Madagascar Game

According to a fresh report, players of the senior national team have begun arriving in the country and pinching camp in Accra ahead of their crunch encounter with Madagascar.

Some of the players that head coach Chris Hughton called up have arrived at the team’s hotel in Accra. Ghana will qualify for the 2023 African Cup of Nations, which will be held in the Ivory Coast, with a victory over Madagascar.

Tru News Report previously mentioned that Chris Hughton invited 24 players for the final 2023 Africa Nations Group E qualifier against Madagascar next month,

For the critical game, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo, Hughton has selected a few noteworthy selections. Following their impressive performances, Alidu Seidu and Kwasi Okyere Wreidt have earned a spot back on the team.

Furthermore, due to his impressive performances in Denmark, Ernest Nuamah, a player for Nordsjaelland in the Danish Superliga who has scored 15 goals this season, has been called up for the first time to the senior national squad.

The group has also welcomed back a few familiar names. Both Patrick Kpozo, a defender who presently plays in Moldova, and Nicholas Opoku, an Amiens native, have been brought back.

Majeed Ashimeru, an Anderlecht midfielder, will also play again for Ghana. The Black Stars come into the game atop their group with 8 points after winning twice and drawing twice in their previous four games.

In order for Ghana to guarantee their participation in the famous event that will take place in the Ivory Coast next year, the forthcoming match against Madagascar will be important.
