Bruce Willis’ Wife Asks Paparazzi To ‘Give Bruce Some Space’

Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Heming Willis, has requested that the media respect their marriage after learning that her husband has dementia. Over the weekend, Emma shared a video on Instagram in which she responded to an event in which Bruce was captured on camera and videotaped while out for coffee with friends.

She asked photographers and videographers seeking to acquire exclusives of her husband out and about to respect their space since she claimed that there is still a lot of teaching that needs to be done. Emma acknowledged that the photographers were merely carrying out their duties, but she urged them to be more discreet in their interactions with the “Die Hard” actor in public.

Emma Heming Willis also noted that getting someone with dementia safely out into the world may be challenging and stressful for caretakers. She requested safety advice and suggestions on how to get around in public with family members who have dementia.

Emma’s appeal comes after Bruce Willis’ family announced the actor has been diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) after he revealed his battle with aphasia, a speech disease brought on by damage or injury to areas of the brain responsible for language, and announced his retirement from acting almost a year ago.

Bruce Willis is well-known for appearing in films including The Sixth Sense, Armageddon, and Die Hard. Since 2009, he has been married to Emma Heming Willis.
