Burna Boy Heaviest Weed Smoker I’ve Ever Seen – Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran, who has collaborated with Burna Boy on several occasions, including the hit track ‘Own It’ featuring Stormzy, recently made a statement regarding the Nigerian artist’s smoking habits.
During an episode of the Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend podcast, the ‘Shape Of You’ singer shared his experience of walking into the studio and being taken aback by the heavy smoke emanating from Burna Boy’s smoking. He further added that it was the most significant amount of weed he had ever witnessed anyone consume.
Ed Sheeran said, “There’s an artist that I work quite a lot with called Burna Boy. I would say he is… That’s the most I’ve seen anyone ingest weed.
“He came to the studio and I had a gig late on in the night. And it was very much chilled there [the studio], the door was closed. It was just smokes, smokes, smokes. And I remember walking in there to get a thing. It felt like I was not quite there [laughs].”

Ed Sheeran is an accomplished English singer-songwriter who was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk. He began writing songs at the young age of eleven and in early 2011, independently released the extended play No. 5 Collaborations Project.
Later that same year, he signed with Asylum Records. Sheeran’s debut album, + (“Plus”), was released in September 2011 and quickly rose to the top of the UK Albums Chart. The album featured his first hit single “The A Team”. In 2012, Sheeran was honoured with the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
His second studio album, × (“Multiply”), was released in June 2014 and achieved chart-topping success worldwide. It was also named the second-best-selling album globally in 2015.
That same year, × won Album of the Year at the 2015 Brit Awards, and Sheeran received the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. One of the singles from ×, “Thinking Out Loud”, earned him the 2016 Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
