Burna Boy, Tems, Rema to Headline 2023 NBA All-star Game

Nigerian trio Burna Boy, Tems, and Rema have been scheduled to perform at the NBA All-Star Game halftime performance in 2023.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) made the announcement on Wednesday on its official social media platforms. Burna, Rema, and Tems will all perform as the game’s featured acts in Utah, and they are anticipated to dazzle the crowd with an Afrobeats-themed performance.

“GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer @burnaboy, 2023 GRAMMY Award-winning singer and Oscar-nominated singer and producer @temsbaby and rapper and singer @heisrema will headline the NBA All-Star Game 2023 halftime show with an Afrobeats-themed performance,’‘ the announcement read.

The NBA said it would honour LeBron James for becoming the league’s all-time scoring leader after the performance.

The 72nd All-Star Game will tip off at 8:30 pm. ET at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City and air on TNT on 19th February 2023.

The National Basketball Association All-Star Game is a basketball exhibition game hosted every February by the National Basketball Association and showcases 24 of the league’s star players. It is the featured event of NBA All-Star Weekend, a three-day event from Friday to Sunday.
