Cause Of KODA’s Death Finally Revealed

Earlier today, Tru News Report was among the first online platforms to announce the unfortunate demise of Ghanaian gospel artist KODA.

Our initial report fell short in revealing the cause of his passing due to a lack of information at that time. However, recent updates have indicated that KODA succumbed to a kidney-related illness.

We anticipate that his family will share further insights regarding his battle with kidney disease and its impact on his untimely death.

Meanwhile, numerous gospel musicians and fans have taken to social media to express their grief over the loss with gospel musicians such as Nii Okai and Gifty Empress expressing their shock and sadness.

Empress Gifty stormed Facebook to say, “I hope it’s not true, KODA,” with crying emojis.

Nii Okai also had this to say, “I wish I could tell you another thing but that’s the truth. KODA  is dead,” he told Graphic Showbiz when he was reached on the phone to share his reaction.

KODA collaborated with others to co-write, mix, master, and produce the remarkable album, Awurade Ei, for KNUST’s “God’s Instruments” at KODED studios in Takoradi, Ghana.

This album garnered significant recognition within the country, thanks to its outstanding tracks such as “Awurade Ei” (“Se Woma Wonsa Soa”), “Tumi,” and “Onyame Ye D’awase.”

Additionally, he made a name for himself as a producer through his work on Nii Okai’s Moko Be and Gye W’ayeyi albums.

KODA’s talent and expertise have led him to collaborate with numerous gospel artists both in and outside of Ghana, including notable names like Nii Okai, Pastor Joseph Gyebi, Danny Nettey, Pastor Joe Beecham, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Joyful Way Inc., Pastor Helen Yawson, Yaw Osei-Owusu, Ike Nanor, Eugene Zuta, Jesse Jenkins, Diana Hamilton, and Calvis Hammond, among others.

Until his death, KODA is married to Ewurama Dua Anto, who also sings. They had 3 children (2 sons and a daughter).
