Check Out MTV Movie & TV Awards 2023 Full Winners List

On May 7, the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards kicked off in a format that was different from what the network had originally intended.

The yearly awards show was scheduled to be broadcast live from Santa Monica’s Barker Hanger in Los Angeles, but MTV decided to air a pre-recorded show instead because of the writer’s strike and the WGA’s plans to protest outside of the event.

In an effort to support the WGA, Drew Barrymore withdrew from her role as event host, and Jamie Lee Curtis, who was scheduled to present, also declined to go.
