Chef Smith’s Cook-A-Thon: Praye, Yaw Tog, Amerado, Others Storm Venue To Entertain Crowd
Chef Smith’s cookathon initially didn’t receive much attention and excitement from the people of Ghana, especially when compared to the tremendous buzz generated by Afua Asantewaa and Chef Faila during their singing and cooking marathons, respectively.
However, everything has changed after Chef Smith’s incredible cooking feat, which has surpassed 30 days, making it the longest cooking attempt for a Guinness World Record in the world. Ghanaians have now started showing him their massive support, including musicians.
According to a video shared by celebrity and lifestyle blogger Zionfelix, some musicians went to the Amadia shopping centre at Spintex in Accra, where the cooking marathon is taking place, to entertain the crowd and ultimately boost Chef Smith’s record-breaking attempt.
The cook-a-thon attracted a star-studded lineup of performers, including Praye Tietia, Yaw Tog, Amerado, Kofi Jamar, and the Asakaa Boys.
Praye Tietia delivered a great performance fraught with nostalgia, followed by the Asakaa Boys whose music and demeanour resonated with the crowd.
Meanwhile, Chef Smith’s cook-a-thon is still ongoing, as he aims to cook for a total of 1200 hours.
The cook-a-thon, which began on February 1, 2024, will officially conclude on Wednesday, March 6, coinciding with Ghana’s Independence Day celebration.
