Comedian Woli Arole To Set A New World Record By Praying For 5000 Hours

On the back of Hilda Baci’s Cookathon which was specifically designed to etch her name into the Guinness Books of Records, Nigerian comedian Woli Arole has infused a new dimension into the buzz.

Recall that Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci recently monopolized social media after she smashed the Guinness World Record for the “longest cooking marathon by an individual”.

A few weeks ago, the cook broke the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes held by Lata Tondon, who is no longer the Guinness World Record holder. On Thursday at precisely 4 o’clock in the afternoon, Hilda started the competition by turning on her cooker.

As the first person ever to spend so much time cooking, Hilda continued to cook for 96 hours despite having already shattered the previous record. Although she is yet to be verified by Guinness Records for her incredible feat, her tenacity has sparked waves of challenge from another Nigerian woman based in Ekiti.

The chef identified as Damilola Adeparusi has begun 120 hours cooking marathon in Oye Local Government Area in Ekiti State. As of press time, Adeparus has reportedly completed 15 hours of the 120 hours earmarked for the cooking.

Even before the dust settles, Woli Arole has stepped in with a different dimension by announcing that he is set to pray for 5000 hours nonstop and get his name into the Guinness Records.

The content producer announced it on his Instagram page and stated that he will pray for 5000 hours, or 208 days, which would be the longest amount of time ever.

He shared a poster and included the Guinness World Records and other well-known individuals in his post saying;

“PRAY – A – THON…….

5000 hours……

It is doable….

Anticipate…..

Guinness Book of Record…..”
