Cook-A-Thon: Chef Faila Intends To Go Beyond 120 Hours; Break 3 Other Records
It has been revealed that Failatu Abdul Zakari may surpass her initial goal of cooking for 120 hours and set a benchmark that will be incredibly difficult for anyone to surpass in the future.
What’s even more impressive is that Faila has the potential to achieve multiple accomplishments simultaneously. While her primary objective is to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, she also has her sights set on achieving three additional records along the way.
Faila embarked on her record-breaking journey on Monday, January 1, 2023, to surpass Ireland’s Alan Fisher, who currently holds the record. Fisher managed to cook for an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes, surpassing the previous record set by Nigeria’s Hilda Baci.
However, as Faila began her attempt, news emerged that a Ugandan woman had also made a 144-hour cooking attempt, which is currently under review.
Despite this, new information has surfaced online suggesting that Faila is reconsidering her initial plan of cooking for 120 hours.
According to media personality Gifty Anti, it is believed that Faila will now strive to cook for an astonishing 200 hours. Gifty Anti shared this update on her Instagram page, also revealing that Faila aims to break three additional records during her marathon cooking session.
These additional records include the number of dishes cooked within the designated period, the number of people she manages to feed, and the presentation of the food. Faila’s ambition and determination are truly commendable, and it will be fascinating to witness her culinary journey unfold.
Gifty updated Ghanaians on this new development on her Instagram page, saying:
At this rate @failaabdulrazak would be breaking and setting 3 or 4 records by the time she is done! Ei 1. Longest hours for cooking (I hear she now wants to do 200 hours)
2. Number of dishes cooked during the period.
3. Presentation of the various dishes she cooked 4. The number of people she fed
