Fameye Fires Back At Online Trolls About Asake’s O2 Arena performance

Ghanaian musician Peter Famiyeh Bozah, also referred to as Fameye, has expressed his opinion over the ongoing social media controversy surrounding the O2 Arena performance by Nigerian singer Asake.

The musician states that the downfall of the industry is due to the fact that people constantly compare professional musicians on social media. On his social media accounts, he accused users of having an agenda that was bringing down the spirits of Ghanaian musicians.

“You people, especially for this App, take agenda comot all the value & worth of artiste in this country, deppress & frustrate us!!! I use to think is an African problem saana is just this country”

Fameye’s words come after Nigerian singer Asake’s recent show at the O2 Arena, which got a lot of attention on social media. The show’s success has prompted many in entertainment in Ghana to wonder why Ghanaian musicians don’t enjoy the same degree of popularity.

However, several musicians and industry players have spoken out against the controversy, saying that drawing unwarranted comparisons between Ghana’s music industry and others’ is harmful and that the industry needs more support.
