Gyakie Opens Up About Why She Dresses Like A Boy

Gyakie’s fashion choices were highlighted during an appearance on TV3’s New Day show, where she was interviewed by Helen Appiah-Ampofo and Berla Mundi.

The popular Ghanaian artiste and daughter of the legendary Nana Achemapong discussed various aspects of her style, including her preference for dressing as a tomboy.

During the interview, Gyakie explained that she feels most at ease when she adopts a tomboy look, as comfort is her top priority when it comes to fashion.

“I always like to be comfortable. I think that boys are very comfortable in their clothes,” she said.

“I wear what I feel good in. I do not want to be fidgeting when I move around,” she added.

Gyakie also said is not open to romantic relationships with fellow musicians or industry players during the same interview.

According to her, love is a wonderful thing, but she prefers to keep it separate from her professional life.

She mentioned that navigating such situations can be complicated, but she chose not to elaborate further.

She made this known in an interview with 3FM.

I won’t advise myself to do that if I have another version of me. I wouldn’t advise that because it can be very, very tricky but you never know.

Love is a beautiful thing. I wouldn’t say its wrong but at the same time, right now, I wouldn’t advise myself to be with an industry person.
