Hajia 4 Real Enrolls At Union University College In US

In a recent development regarding Hajia 4 Real’s ongoing legal case in the US, her legal team has formally requested the judge overseeing the fraud charges to remove the imposed restrictions on her. The reason behind this request is that Hajia 4 Real has applied to pursue her studies at a university in the United States.

In a letter addressed to the presiding judge, her lawyers have informed her that she has successfully enrolled at Union University College and is eager to commence her studies. With the upcoming spring semester approaching, her legal team has urged the judge to consider lifting the restrictions on her movement, allowing her the freedom to attend classes.

A stamp affixed to the document indicates that the judge has granted the request, thereby providing Hajia 4 Real with the opportunity to have increased mobility. This will enable her to actively participate in her educational pursuits, which are expected to commence in either March or April.

The letter read in part: “I respectfully write the court with the consent of the government and pre-trial services to request the modification of Ms. Montage’s pre-trail bail conditions to allow her attend class at the Union College in the spring 2024 semester.

“Ms. Montrage is currently on home confinement. She would like to enroll part-time in the Union College in the spring 2024 semester.”

Previously, Tru News Report revealed that the Department of Justice in the United States denied bail to Mona Faiz Montrage, a well-known Ghanaian socialite and entrepreneur who goes by the name Hajia 4Reall, saying the singer did not qualify to be released on bail.

Documents filed by US Attorney Damian Williams of the Southern District of New York, as reported by media journalist Kofi Adoma, show that the socialite did not satisfy US standards for a bail request.

She formally asked the court to reduce her bond so that she could return to New York. The socialite has been placed under house arrest.

The judge also emphasised the substantial evidence against the socialite, saying that releasing her on bail would be risky under US Justice Code Section 3142-G because of the possibility that she might escape.

She was extradited from the United Kingdom to the United States for allegedly defrauding older, unmarried American women and men of more than $2 million in a romance scam.

Montrage, 30, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, one count of wire fraud, one count of money laundering conspiracy, and one count of money laundering, each of which carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

She appeared in Manhattan federal court on Monday and pleaded not guilty to the charges, and according to her counsel, she will be released in the coming days on a $500,000 bail with GPS monitoring via an ankle monitor.
