Hajia4Reall To Get 3-Year Jail Term After Naming Her Accomplices – Report

Hajia4Reall, who recently pleaded guilty in a romance scam case, may have her sentence reduced after allegedly revealing the identities of her accomplices.

This latest update was shared by Nigerian journalist and chemist Kemi Onlunyo, who has been consistently providing accurate information on this matter since it first emerged last year.

Hajia admitted to her involvement in laundering the proceeds of romance scams that specifically targeted vulnerable Americans.

If convicted, she could face a maximum prison sentence of five years. The U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed that Mona 4reall confessed to one count of conspiracy to receive stolen money on February 21, 2024, in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Sarah L.

Mona was part of a criminal syndicate operating in West Africa, that orchestrated various fraudulent activities, with a particular focus on romance scams aimed at individuals and businesses in the United States.

The organization employed deceptive tactics, including the creation of fake identities and online personas, to lure victims into false romantic relationships.

They then manipulated these victims into sending money under false pretences, using reasons such as fabricated medical emergencies, travel expenses, or investment opportunities.

Mona’s role involved receiving money from the victims through bank accounts or money transfer services and subsequently transferring it to other group members located in Ghana, Nigeria, and other countries. Additionally, she used a portion of the funds for her expenses, including travel, shopping, and entertainment.

As part of her plea agreement, Mona has agreed to forfeit and repay $2,164,758.41, which represents the total amount of money she received from the victims. Her sentencing is scheduled to take place on June 15, 2024, before U.S. District Judge Paul A. Crotty.

Dr. Kemi Olunloyo, while sharing this new update, mentioned that Hajia has implicated a prominent musician, an actor, a politician, and another influential businessman from Ghana in fraudulent activities, suggesting that her cooperation may lead to a reduced sentence.

Here’s what she wrote:

My FBI guy in the Hushpuppi and Woodberry case told me today that Mona will likely get 3 years in prison. She’s facing 5yrs. Why? She did a good plea deal as she has snitched. Remember I told you last year she vows Ghana will “shake” One is a popular musician One is a famous actor One is a big big politician One is a very big businessman in the hospitality industry. All Ghanaian🇬🇭 Nothing shocks me anymore when I heard the names. Can’t tell you as it’s confidential and I’m no longer in journalism. I’m doing a documentary on her as well. Stay tuned Kemi Talks on YouTube She was just the middle woman in the romance scam. Her $2M has already been paid sef. Just waiting for sentencing. #mediakemi30
