How Social Media Mourned Death Of KODA

The passing of KODA has deeply saddened the online community in Ghana, as people from various backgrounds come together to mourn the Gospel artist.

Heartfelt tributes have flooded social media since the news of his demise was shared on Sunday, April 21.

It is with great sadness that we learned of his death, which was a result of kidney complications, despite the efforts made to raise funds for his kidney transplant and subsequent surgery.

KODA was a Ghanaian gospel singer, songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Takoradi.

He collaborated with others to co-write, mix, master, and produce the remarkable album, Awurade Ei, for KNUST’s “God’s Instruments” at KODED studios in Takoradi, Ghana.

This album garnered significant recognition within the country, thanks to its outstanding tracks such as “Awurade Ei” (“Se Woma Wonsa Soa”), “Tumi,” and “Onyame Ye D’awase.”

Additionally, he made a name for himself as a producer through his work on Nii Okai’s Moko Be and Gye W’ayeyi albums.
