I Am Done With Men- Sista Afia Cries Out

Songstress Sista Afia might have suffered a ‘broken heart’ after she stormed Twitter to reveal that she was done with men.

Her post was brief and concise with no additional information, thereby putting her fans in a state of suspense as to what’s going on within her emotional space. Predictably, the post attracted many reactions from her fans and colleagues alike.

A fan queried the post, asking if she was brokenhearted by a man she truly loved, to which she replied that no one can break her heart, but won’t continue to have anything to do with men.

Additionally, Stephanie Benson even came through offering a remedy as depicted in the tweets below;

She quoted the tweet made by the fan and said: “Lol I never said I had a heartbreak !! Am just done. No one can break my heart hun

Similarly, Sista Afia recently justified the reason why she is not married by saying there are far more important things in life than marriage.

Clearly opposed to the importance Africans place on marriage and procreation, the Ghanaian songstress, who has a handful of hit songs to her name, stated that she is not in a rush to marry simply because of societal pressure.

She voiced out this sentiment when she spoke to Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz.

I don’t see life to be all about marriage and having kids. Life is a beautiful thing and it has a lot of angles. If I don’t get married, it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t do better in life. Marriage doesn’t define me.

The singer also revealed that when she was younger, she wished to marry and have children at a young age.

I was a young girl and I remember telling myself that I would get married at the age of 21; I’d have twins at the age of 24, and another set of twins later. I was very young and I was very naïve and I didn’t know much about marriage and life, but now I do I’m not in a rush. It’s my dream to have a kid, but if I don’t even get married, it’s fine but for a kid it’s something I would want to have.

She concluded by saying, “Married people these days… it is crazy. Considering this generation… Because we have social media, people do not see the importance of so many things anymore. If you’re a woman, whatever you want to do, be it marriage, you can go ahead and do it, but for me, I’m just being me and I don’t regard marriage.”
