Abortion Saga – Sally Mann Mounts Spirited Defense Of Under-fire Yvonne Nelson
Actress and filmmaker Yvonne Nelson has received praise from entertainment pundit Sally Mann for telling the truth about her past in her new book.
While in the studios of Joy Prime, Sally asserted that making the choice to reveal one’s life to the entire world requires courage and toughness.
In her view, she will never criticize anyone, especially public figures who share their personal experiences because she thinks that doing so helps them build stronger bonds with their followers and loved ones.
“I think it’s a bold decision, and you know I like boldness. The fact that she was able to mention names without missing any word, Yvonne, nobody comes close to you,” she said on Joy Prime’s morning show on Tuesday.
In addition, Sally responded to Chapter 8 of the book, where the actress described how she underwent a pregnancy termination, through emotional hardships while trying to identify her biological father, and how her mother had lied to her about this.
Reacting to the book release, Sally Mann said, “Maybe I don’t have deeper issues as she has. If I had committed abortion and it’s taunting me or I’m guilty of it, I may want to share the story… If Yvonne is shedding light on teenage pregnancy or unwanted pregnancy, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”
