I Am Proud Of Abraham Attah, He Has Been Incredible – Idris Elba
Idris Elba has said the movie he starred in with Ghanaian youngster Abraham Attah which brought him to the limelight always makes him emotional whenever he watches it.
Abraham Attah, since his breakthrough role in “Beast of No Nation,” has gone on to make a mark on the movie seen internationally, appearing in high-profile movies such as the 2017 Marvel Studios film Spider-Man: Homecoming.
“I cried watching the movie because Abraham Attah is amazing and it’s a sad movie.” I’m really proud of Abraham Attah, who has now moved on to greater and better things”, Idris Elba said in an interview with Amansan Krakye on Opemsuor FM.
In the same vein, the accomplished British actor said Abraham Attah has made realized that talent abounds in Ghana and the sub-region.
He continued, “That film made me believe that there are a lot more talents, whether in Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, or Sierra Leone and that there’s untapped potential that people need to see on the screens.”
Abraham Nii Attah is a Ghanaian actor, living in the United States. He made his feature film debut in Beasts of No Nation (2015). For his leading role as child soldier Agu, he was awarded the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival.
