I Have Been Here For A Long Time – Dede Ayew Asks Ghanaians To Be Patient

Skipper of the Black Stars, Dede Ayew has appealed to Ghanaians to remain patient with the team amidst their consistently poor performance in recent times.

He acknowledges that the team’s results have not been satisfactory, but assures the people of Ghana that they are fully aware of this and are committed to putting in the necessary effort. He said he has been in the team for a long time to know the dynamics of the team.

Ayew promises that they will continue to work diligently to restore the former glory of the male National team. The former Swansea star said this when he had an interview with Gh One Sports in France.

He said “I think we need to stay calm, a lot has happened and there is not much to be said at the moment. For me, I’ve been in the team for a long time so we need to stay calm and learn from what went right, and what went wrong. We need to keep working to make our nation proud because it is something very special.

We cannot hide behind the fact that the results haven’t been the best and we are sorry for that.

I know that it’s part of the game, it’s part of football. Football is like a cycle, we were on top for about ten, or twelve years and now it’s about other people but we need to keep working hard.

I think we have the players and so it is a matter of time and luck to switch things around”.
