I Have Nothing to Say to Him- Lasmid Tells Ohene Djan Over His ‘Friday Night’ Music Video

Lasmid has finally responded to claims made by veteran music video director, Abraham Ohene Djan regarding the music video to his hit song Friday Night.

Abraham Ohene Djan said in a previous interview in 2022 that the release of Lasmid’s Friday Night music video thwarted the virality of the song instead of augmenting its popularity.

When the issue was revisited recently on Cape Coast-based Property FM by on-air personality Amansan Krakye, the rapper and songwriter said he has nothing to say about Djan’s observation since he is an expert in that capacity and hence has the right to come up with such evaluations.

He told Amansan Krakye thus; “That’s his specialized job and he knows everything with regards to music videos, looking at where he has gotten to in the showbiz industry.

“So I won’t begrudge him for saying that my music video killed the trend for my Friday Night song and he’s having the right to comment on it as he did,” he said on Property Showbiz program.

Lasmid’s full name is Lasmid Nathaniel Owusu. He is a Ghanaian musician and songwriter from Takoradi. He was crowned winner of the MTN Hitmaker Season 8. He is best known for the viral song Friday Night which gained attention in Ghana topping charts after it became a trend on TikTok.
