“I Will Pick Up An Award At This Year’s VGMA, By The Grace Of God” – Piesie Esther
Ghanaian female inspirational gospel singer, Piesie Esther, has stated that she believes that, by the grace of God, she will definitely win an award at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
The gospel musician was nominated in seven categories in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, including Artiste of the Year. However, Piesie is confident that her efforts throughout the year deserve the prestigious award.
She made this statement on UTV’s Showbiz when asked how she would feel if she won every award for which she was nominated except for artist of the year.
“I believe and have faith that, by God’s grace, I will pick up an award; however, it will be painful if I don’t pick up any of the seven nominations, but I am praying that it will not happen to me.” she said.
She drew the conclusion that even if she didn’t win in every category for which she was up for an award, she would still be a big winner. She is still a winner, as her nominations demonstrate. Her twenty years of hard work have finally paid off, and she deserves this recognition.
“But even if I don’t pick up any awards, I will still be grateful to God for at least getting nominated. For being nominated in the category of artiste of the year, that means I have won.” she added.
