Shatta Wale has explained why is unarguably Ghana’s most controversial artiste in a fresh interview conducted in the studios of Accra-based Nhyira FM.
The boss of Ghana’s biggest fanbase; Shatta Movement claims he is too patriotic to keep quiet about topical issues making rounds in the country.
He also said because he’s a mainstream celeb, everything he does comes under intense scrutiny which is why it appears he is controversial. The Dancehall/Reggae specialist with multiple awards to his name concluded that in due time, people will understand his personality.
I may argue that I’m patriotic, aside from the fact that my job is public, making it easier for people to talk about Shatta, so it’s just my job. Many individuals don’t know themselves, but I can assure you that everything I do is designed so that people will eventually comprehend me.
In a related development, Samini engaged his fans in a Question and Answer session on Twitter a few weeks ago and as expected, his fans seized the moment to bombard him with a lot of questions, one of which is under the spotlight herein.
This particular fan asked him what his favourite Shatta Wale song is. Given the age-long rivalry between Samini and the SM boss, the significance of the question elicited much attention. Without hesitation, Samini mentioned that Shatta Wale’s monster hit, ‘On God’ is his favourite.
“What’s your favourite Shattawalegh song?” The tweep asked, to which Samini responded, “On God.”
