John Mahama Mocks Alan Cash And Afriyie Akoto For Abandoning Akufo Addo’s ‘Sinking Ship’

In a fresh tweet, former president of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has reminded Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen and Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto that despite resigning from Nana Akufo Addo’s government, Ghanaians won’t forget the role they played in his abysmal tenure.

Mahama who is eagerly awaiting a comeback as we head towards the 2024 general elections, noted that in order to avoid being included in the mess, these ministers have noticed the boat is sinking and are abandoning it.

Mahama posted;

Some members of the Akufo-Addo gov’t have realized their boat is heading for disaster. It must be a relief for those deserting the ship, but it’s so late. It’s almost pointless. They’ll try hard not to be part of the mess we are in, but let’s not forget the parts they all played.

Despite not mentioning their names, the former president might be alluding to Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen and Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, who recently resigned from their positions as ministers of trade and industry and of food and agriculture in the Akufo-Addo-led government, respectively.

Since then, temporary appointees have filled their seats. Mavis Hawa Koomson, the minister of fisheries and aquaculture development, is temporarily in command of the agriculture ministry, while Samuel Abu Jinapor, the minister of lands and natural resources, is in control of the trade ministry.
