Lydia Forson Advises Ghanaians Not To Put Their Trust In Politicians Who Resign Just To Run For President

Ghanaian actress, writer, and producer, Lydia Forson, has issued a warning to Ghanaians not to trust public office holders who leave their positions in government to vie for the presidency.

This comes after Alan Kyerematen, the Minister of Trade and Industry, and the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto announced their exit from the Akufo-Addo administration.

Both men have reportedly decided to leave their current positions in order to concentrate fully on their campaigns for the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 elections.

Alan Kyerematen, who has started with his campaign already has officially declared his intention.

According to Lydia Forson, such officials quit out of selfish ambitions and a desire to take over the country rather than they helping with the difficulties the government is facing.

“DO NOT TRUST any presidential candidate who ONLY resigned to run for president and not because they saw wrongdoing and wanted to do the right thing,” she made this announcement on her Twitter page.
