The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has made a public declaration regarding the marital status of his two sons, Sharaf and Shahid Mahama, stating that they are currently single.
This was brought up by the former president during his 65th birthday celebration on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023, during his visit to the Shai-Osudoku District Hospital. John Mahama visited the hospital with his wife and three children to pay a courtesy visit to staff and patients and to make a donation.
Speaking to the crowd of hospital employees and supporters, Mahama expressed his deepest gratitude to his family for all the love and support they have given him. In addition, he addressed each of his sons by name before jokingly revealing their current relationship status.
“Sharaf Mahama is here, Shahid Mahama is here too, and then Farida (the baby of the family) is also here. So I want to thank you again, and for those who want to know, he’s single (points to Sharaf), he’s single (points to Shahid),” he said.
