Jonathan Majors’ Attorney Issues Statement After Two Of His Ads Were Pulled Down Following Arrest

After the rising celebrity was detained for a purported “domestic dispute,” it appears that the US Army decided to part ways with Jonathan Majors as a representative for their advertising campaign.

According to Priya Chaudhry, the criminal defence attorney for Majors, they have gotten two written statements from the woman in question retraction her remarks.

The military organisation issued a statement shortly after the actor’s detention claiming, ”The US Army is aware of the arrest of Jonathan Majors and we are deeply concerned by the allegations surrounding his arrest. We recently released two ads in which Mr. Majors appears,” they continued. “While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete.”

Chaudhry quickly addressed the US Army pulling Majors from the campaign. “We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.” She told Army Times. According to Chaudhry, they also intend to show video from the car where the event occurred, as well as eyewitness accounts from the driver and others who heard and saw what happened.

As previously reported, Jonathan Majors was reportedly arrested in New York City on Saturday morning after police responded to a call around 11 p.m. ET in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighbourhood for assault.

According to reports, Majors is being accused of assaulting a woman, who is allegedly his girlfriend, and strangling her over texting another female.

According to TMZ, the victim had visible injuries on her face, redness, and a laceration behind one of her ears.

After its initial report, the publication updated that the woman, who they claim is Majors’ girlfriend, reportedly told police that she and the actor were returning home from a bar in Brooklyn, when an argument broke out.
