Kanayo Kanayo Responds To Popular Sacrifice Videos That Have Sparked Discussion On Social Media

Kanayo’s acting career began in 1982, when he starred in Nigerian Television Authority productions. He first appeared in a 1992 movie, Living in Bondage. He has appeared in over a hundred films, and in 2008, for his work in Across the Niger, he was nominated for an African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor. His most recent works include Up North and Living in Bondage: Breaking Free.

TikTok users compiled several clips from Kanavo’s old films. In the released clips, the veteran actor may be seen playing a variety of ritualistic roles.

During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwa, Kanayo appeared to respond to the videos by saying that he had absolutely nothing to do with the ritual videos that have been circulating online.

The veteran actor went on to declare that Jesus is the only “juju” he is familiar with and believes in. Kanayo stated that he would accept any acting job that paid well enough. “For me, the only Juju I know is Jesus; all this night sacrifice and so on, call me as long as you are paying my cheque,” he said.

The seasoned actor was shown in the brief videos portraying a variety of roles associated with rituals. Check out some of the Kanayo viral videos below.

Kanayo O. Kanay recently made headlines when he was spotted in a video praying for his son, who recently moved to the United States of America. The veteran actor urged his kid to maintain his “He” identity and to accomplish innovative things that would bring honour to their native Nigeria.
