Kanye West Rakes In Over $12m From Listening Parties Of ‘Vultures 1’ Album

Kanye West’s highly anticipated listening parties for his “Vultures 1” album, featuring Ty Dolla $ign, proved to be a lucrative endeavour, raking in over $12 million in ticket sales, according to Billboard estimates.

The first two shows, held in the United States at the United Centre in Chicago and UBS Arena in New York, each amassed around $2.4 million in ticket revenue.

Although specific sales figures for the European events in Milan, Bologna, and Paris were unavailable, tickets were priced similarly to the U.S. shows, ranging from $140 to $220, with all events presumed to have sold out.

Vultures 1,” the project that was marketed as a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign under the name ¥$ (it was also attributed to their individual artist names), was a quick win for both stars.

Vultures 1” earns a second stay at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week. The list is known as the most competitive album ranking in the U.S., as it shows which titles Americans are listening to. The tally includes all genres and uses a methodology that combines pure purchases, sales of individual tunes on a title, and streaming activity.

West earned his eleventh No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with “Vultures 1” when it debuted in first place last week, while $ign collected his first with the project.

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Vultures 1,” which was released on February 9 to digital platforms, has now surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify.
