Kasoa Ritual Murder: 18-Year-Old Accused Demands Fingerprint Exam To Prove Innocence

An 18-year-old teenager accused in the Kasoa ritual murder case, along with a 15-year-old juvenile, is urging the High Court in Accra to conduct a fingerprint examination on exhibits retrieved from the crime scene.

The accused believes that such an examination will confirm his innocence and prove that he played no role in the death of 10-year-old Ishmael Mensah Abdallah, allegedly for money ritual purposes.

The two teenagers are facing charges of conspiracy and murder in the death of Ishmael Mensah Abdallah and are currently on trial before the High Court in Accra, presided over by Justice Lydia Osei Marfo.

While the 15-year-old juvenile, referred to as the 1st Accused, has admitted to the offence and confessed that they “committed the crime together,” the 18-year-old accused, known as the 2nd Accused, has vehemently denied the charges.
