Kelvin Taylor Takes A Swipe At MTN For Their Disrespect To Ghanaian Customers After Discontinuing Their Zone Bundle Offer

Ghanaian broadcast journalist Kevin Taylor has called out the management of the largest network operator in Ghana, MTN, for their poor services and bad customer care.

According to the founder of Loud Silence Media, MTN has disrespected Ghanaians by not being able to prevent customers from losing money to scammers on MTN Mobile Money and suddenly shutting down the MTN Zone Bundle without notice. In a Facebook post he stated that:

“MTN Ghana, Nokia thought they were untouchable until other smartphones company came in stronger. Today, they are no longer the first choice many make in settling on which mobile phones to use.”

“People lose their monies to scammers through MTN MoMo and when they call for help, MTN says they cannot do anything about it. You introduce an offer (MTN Zone Bundle) and lured people to get in and one day you decide to turn it off without notice.”

“Management of MTN Ghana should not think MTN cannot collapse in Ghana like any other Company. You make millions of dollars in profit in Ghana as compared to other countries you operate in and that’s a fact! That should let you reciprocate the loyalty and respect Ghanaians have shown to the MTN brand over the years.”

“Unfortunately, the Government’s Information ministry and NCA which should project citizens in times like this would rather love to take back kicks from these foreign companies even in the face of disrespect to the Ghanaian people.”

“No Ghanaian media House can do what we have just done this morning by calling out MTN because they are scared MTN will withdraw their ads on their channels if they dare critique their actions. Loud Silence Media have not run ads on our channel for 6 years and counting and we are doing just fine. To Hell with MTN and their disrespect for the Ghanaian customer. This is Ridiculous!”

What is MTN Zone Bundle?

MTN Zone Bundles are discounted internet subscriptions offered by MTN Ghana. These bundles offer inexpensive access to huge amounts of internet data. The bundle discounts may vary based on the location of the subscriber. According to MTN Customer Service, the offer is currently unavailable indefinitely, leaving customers who have previously benefited from this offer to starve.

Kelvin Taylor’s post has garnered a lot of attention on social media, with many users agreeing with the journalist and others considering switching to a different network.
