Kennedy Agyapong Calls Out Annoh-Dompreh For Failing To Address Lack Of Development In Mining Villages

New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has criticised Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the majority chief whip in parliament, for the lack of development in mining villages.

The MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, condemned the lack of development in mining villages across the nation and called out the Majority Chief Whip in an audio recording taken while he was addressing NPP delegates during his ongoing campaign.

Kennedy Agyapong claims that the party whip is going around, questioning the motives of party chairmen who have thrown their support behind Kennedy Agyapong on the grounds that he is unqualified to serve as president.

He stated that he was a better candidate and that his track record as a successful businessman demonstrated his ability to lead Ghana through growth if he were chosen flagbearer and then president.

Making referenced to Annoh-Dompreh’s assessment of his character, asking how someone who lacked presidential qualities could have been so successful in business.

“Today, Newmont wants to move the Sunyani Road. Ask yourself why the gold is moved by air. Go to South Africa and see what gold mining has done for people there. What’s wrong with Ghanaians? We are only worried about speaking English. Annoh-Dompreh gets up and says, “I’m not presidential material.” Have you ever seen a rich fool?” he said.
