Kojo Bonsu Declares NDC Delegates Want Him To Be The Next President

Kojo Bonsu, a candidate for president of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), claims that party members have told him he should be the NDC’s next flagbearer.

He claims that he has been around Ghana and that the delegates of the NDC have told him they want someone who has never held the office of the president before and who can serve as president of Ghana for the next eight years.

Speaking on the Kafui Dey show available to Tru News Report, the former Kumasi mayor Kojo Bonsu explained that NDC delegates want him to be the next president.

“All I am doing is that I am going granular… We have what we call branches which are the polling station executive, we have 9 people there that is where I’m going” he said.

“I’m going to the nooks and crannies of this country, to those people to talk to them. They are the people who have the edge and can vote somebody into power. So that is what I’m doing, I go granular to them, and I am hearing that they want a new face. They want somebody who can do 8 years and that is Kojo Bonsu, that is what they are telling me” he added.

He would likely face strong opposition in the NDC flagbearer election from both former President John Dramani Mahama and former Finance Minister Dr. Kwabena Duffuor.
