Krayzie Bone Is Reportedly Between Life & Death In Hospital

Rapper Krayzie Bone is reportedly battling for his life in a hospital after coughing up large amounts of blood on Friday, September 22 due to a leaking artery in one of the rapper’s lungs.

Krayzie, whose real name is Anthony Henderson, underwent an emergency operation, but doctors were unable to stop the bleeding. According to accounts, he was sedated and is currently receiving hospital-assisted breathing. Fans were alarmed when the singer’s bandmate, Bizzy, posted only “Pray 4 Kay” on his Instagram Story.

“Prayers for Krayzie Bone. One of my favorite all around artists. You have gotten me through so much brother,” a fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter.  “Man I grew up with bone thugs n harmony. Praying for you!” another expressed.

Henderson suffers from a condition called sarcoidosis, a rare inflammatory disease causing the organs to become covered in lumpy nodes called granuloma.

Following his success with Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Krayzie Bone embarked on his solo career and released his debut album, Thug Mentality 1999, in 1999.

This double disc set showcased a wide array of guest appearances, including notable artists such as Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Mo Thugs, Mariah Carey, ThugLine, The Marley Brothers, Big Pun, Fat Joe, Cuban Link, Gangsta Boo, E-40, 8 Ball & MJG, Kurupt, Naughty By Nature, and Snoop Dogg. The album, largely produced by multi-instrumentalist Romeo Antonio, achieved platinum certification by the RIAA.

In 2001, Krayzie Bone followed up with the release of Thug On Da Line, which garnered positive reviews from music critics and achieved gold certification. In 2005, Krayzie Bone gained further recognition for his collaboration with Chamillionaire on the song “Ridin’.” This track received the prestigious “Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group” award at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards and was also nominated for Best Rap Song.

“Ridin'” reached number one on the Piczo Chart three months after its physical release and topped the Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at number 2 on the UK Singles Chart upon its release there. The song’s success extended to critical acclaim, ranking at number 3 on Rolling Stone’s “100 Best Songs of 2006” and number 91 on VH1’s “100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop.”

Additionally, it became the best-selling ringtone of 2006, with 3.2 million sales, making Krayzie Bone the first multi-platinum Mastertone artist in history. The song also received the last Best Rap Video award at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. In April 2014, during a press conference, Krayzie Bone announced the upcoming release of the first installment of the Chasing the Devil trilogy album, scheduled for July 22, 2014, under RBC Records. However, the release was delayed and ultimately became available on November 20, 2015.
