Lilwin has revealed how former Ghana president and current leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama came to his aid by buying a brand new bus for him when the school bus broke down.
The popular actor, who is preparing for the premiere of his upcoming film, A Country Called Ghana, mentioned that the former president advised him not to keep the act of kindness a secret.
In his words, the Mercedes-Benz bus purchased by Mahama is still in service, transporting students to Lilwin’s school.
“Former President John Mahama said I should not say this but I have to say it to encourage the elderly ones to support the younger ones to do better.
You know when I granted an interview that my school bus had broken down, John Mahama made one of his sons buy me a Benz Bus. The bus cost us more than GHc 300,000 and that is what we have been using in the school now,” he said.
Lilwin disclosed that the former President apart from buying a bus for his school has today bought 200 tickets to be given to people who want to attend the event. He said this during an interview on Adom FM.
