Make Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy Ministers In Your Govt —Sonnie Badu To ‘President’ Cheddar

Sonnie Badu has taken notice of the popular New Force Movement centered around Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, and the controversy that arose when the government decided to cancel the highly anticipated unveiling event at Independence Square (Black Star Square).

In light of this, the renowned preacher and gospel musician, who resides in the United Kingdom, expressed his admiration for Cheddar’s boldness and his ability to live up to his name through a post on his Instagram platform.

Sonnie Badu, known for his tendency to engage with trending topics on social media related to Ghana and Nigeria, then proceeded to suggest several ministerial positions that should be offered to artists such as Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Kwaw Kese, and Shatta Wale, once Cheddar’s ambitious aspiration to become president shortly becomes a reality.

Sonnie Badu uttered:

Cedar, Asem ben nie? BEDIAKO, you are literally living your name … well, I want minister of youth and sports so I can travel with the Black stars 😂😂😂 and please, give ministers of entertainment to ….. Nii Amah, Livingston and Obidi … Then give Agriculture to Kwaw Kese, I will help him find all fertile grounds to plant intampi.. 😂😂😂… just kidding … But on a serious note, Congratulations my brother, it’s a bold step.

New Force unveiling ‘sabotaged’ by government

A letter from Ghana’s presidency confirmed the cancellation access granted the New Force movement for use of the Independence Square for its highly publicised convention.

The event, which was supposed to serve as the unveiling of the masked face behind the New Force, was called off at the eleventh hour by organizers, citing a directive from National Security.

In a letter dated December 7, 2023, which was the date for the event, the presidency said it had revoked access with immediate effect on the grounds of a state event scheduled to take place at the venue at the same time.

“We write to revoke immediately the permission granted per our letter No. OP/PH/02 dated 11th November, which approved your request to use the Black Star Square for the above event.

“The decision has been necessitated by an unforeseen State Event scheduled to take place at the venue,” the letter singed by the Chief Director at the Presidency stated.

he letter further stated a refund of ten thousand Ghana cedis paid for the use of the venue to the organisers.

The convention had several political figures, including Nigeria’s Peter Obi, Kenya’s P.L.O. Lumumba, South Africa’s Julius Malema and former Permanent Representative of the African Union to the United States, Dr. Chihombori-Quao, billed as speakers.

However videos shared via social media in the evening of Sunday showed the venue fully set up but virtually empty of human presence.

Reports indicate that armed military men cordoned off the venue and prevented patrons from entering the venue while the speakers and artistes billed to perform were directed to go back to their hotels.

Other videos showed military aircrafts hovering above the venue.

In a later press conference on Sunday, business mogul Nana Kwame Bediako alias Freedom Jacob Ceaser announced himself as the face behind the New Force movement.
