Mammito enrolled in Standard 1 at Laini Saba Primary School in 2001. In 2007, she sat for her KCPE. In 2008, she enrolled at Gatero Girls High School, Nyahururu, where she completed Form Three.

In 2011, she transferred to Silanga Mixed Secondary School in Kibera, where she took the KCSE. Community Development was her major at Mount Kenya University.

Her aunt and mother disapproved of her involvement in comedy, poetry, and dance at the time, stating that it made her a prankster. She was consequently sent to her grandmother’s village in Murang’a for her defiance, which was exacerbated by the onset of peer pressure. She used to assist her grandmother in selling school uniforms and other types of clothing in Murang’a.

In 2015, Mammito enrolled at Mount Kenya University, where she earned a Diploma in Community Development. She entered the university’s drama group. She registered as a singer for one of the talent contests, but when she took the stage, she performed stand-up comedy instead. The assessors were so blown away by her performance that they gave her a standing ovation.

After graduating from college, Mammito sought employment as a social worker but was unsuccessful. She had never considered comedy as a career option. She auditioned for the Churchill Show after failing to secure employment opportunities. She repeatedly failed to impress and was sent away, only to be recalled because she lacked courage and stage presence despite having funny quips. This continued until her admission was ultimately granted.

She experienced extreme stage anxiety during her first open mic performance at the Churchill Show in 2015.Nobody laughed at the fact that nobody laughed. “As if I were delivering a speech, all I could hear was reverberation. Even once I forgot all my lines, glanced blankly at the audience, and walked off stage. I was so embarrassed that I just burst into tears.”

In November of 2017, Mammito was scheduled to perform at the Kigali International Comedy Festival.

In 2018, Mammito appeared in the television documentary Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown as herself.In June of 2018, she performed at the fourth season of the Seka Festival in Kigali, Rwanda.[9]In June of 2018, she performed at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) for the East Africa Comedy Show. She returned to Rwanda in December 2018 to perform in the Evening of Laugh Comedy Show.

Mammito headlined the Saturday Night Comedy at Nairobi’s Blues Restaurant on January 5, 2019. At the 2019 Laugh Festival held at the KICC, Mammito performed. She performed at the Queens of Comedy in Botswana on 2 August.
