Mammito was born on September 18, 1993, in Nairobi. She has never met her father and has never experienced having a father figure in her life. Nancy Njoki, a seamstress, is her mother. She was raised in the Kibera slums.

She received her primary schooling at Laini Saba. In these slums, getting a meal on your own was a real challenge. Her mother was a harsh disciplinarian and forbade her from playing with the neighbourhood kids because life in the slums was difficult.

In 2001, Mammito enrolled in Standard One at Laini Saba Primary School. She took the KCPE exam in 2007. She subsequently enrolled at Gatero Girls High School in Nyahururu in 2008, the last year of Form Three. She transferred to Silanga Mixed Secondary School in Kibera in 2011, where she took the KCSE that year. She attended Mount Kenya University to study community development.

Later, in 2015, Mammito enrolled at Mount Kenya University, where she pursued a Diploma in Community Development. She joined the theatre company at the university. A group of buddies who used to call each other Mammito gave her the nickname.

Mammito started looking for a career as a social worker after graduating from university, but she was unsuccessful. She had never considered a career in comedy.

But she applied for the Churchill Show after passing many job chances. Despite her comments being humorous, she failed to impress a few times and was eventually thrown away before being asked back because she lacked bravery and stage presence.

Mammito appeared as herself in the 2018 television documentary Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. In June 2018, she had a performance at Kigali, Rwanda’s fourth Seka Festival. She gave a performance at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre’s (KICC) East Africa Comedy Show. She went back to Rwanda in December 2018 to appear in the Evening of Laugh Comedy Show.

Mammito was the star of the Saturday Night Comedy at the Blues Restaurant in Nairobi on January 5, 2019. Mammito gave a performance at the KICC’s 2019 Laugh Festival. She had a performance at the Queens of Comedy in Botswana on August 2.
