Following the Newcastle Knights’ victory on Friday night, NRLW star Millie Boyle engaged in an uncomfortable exchange with Bradman Best.
Boyle, who also works for Channel Nine, questioned Best about the game during a live TV interview.
However, things took an awkward turn when the conversation came to an end. Boyle thanked Best and lightly tapped him on the shoulder, to which Best responded by attempting to embrace her and kiss her on the cheek.
However, Boyle quickly backed away and advised him to put on a shirt before redirecting the conversation to someone else. She also congratulated him on the team’s win.
This cringeworthy incident may spark interesting discussions within the Knights’ locker room, as Boyle is married to Best’s teammate, Adam Elliott, who also played a significant role in the match.
Prior to that, Boyle had asked him about the shocking weather the match was played in, with heavy rain leaving the playing surface more like a swimming pool than a footy ground.
“Have you ever played in conditions like that?” she asked.
Best replied: “I was just saying to the boys I don’t think I’ve ever played in that sort of weather. It was torrential, but glad we got the points.”
