NPP Parliamentary Primaries: Bawumia, Dampare Are Bribing Delegates To Vote Against Me – COP Alex Mensah Alleges

In a startling revelation, Retired Commissioner of Police (COP) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate hopeful for the Bekwai constituency in the Ashanti Region, George Alex Mensah, has accused Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo-Dampare of orchestrating a plot to sway delegates against him in the upcoming parliamentary primaries on January 27, 2024.

COP Alex Mensah (Rtd) alleges that an unidentified individual, purportedly sent by Bawumia and Dampare, has been dispatched to Bekwai to distribute monetary incentives to delegates. According to Mensah, he possesses video evidence of this individual meeting with over 100 delegates at the Alpha Guest House in the Bekwai constituency. Each delegate, as claimed by Mensah, allegedly received one thousand Ghana cedis to influence them to vote against him.

I witnessed the sharing process, and I sent some young men to go and collect their share of the monies that had been distributed. Every delegate received one thousand Ghana cedis.”

Mensah went on to assert that he suspects IGP George Akuffo-Dampare is also involved in using certain individuals in the Bekwai constituency to hinder his political ambitions. He specifically pointed to the IGP as the mastermind behind the alleged distribution of money at the Alpha Guest House in Bekwai, aiming to interfere with the outcome of the NPP Bekwai constituency parliamentary primaries.
