NPP Primaries: We Were Given Fridge & GHC5,000 – Dome Kwabenya Delegate Confesses
A delegate from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Dome Kwabenya constituency recently spoke to Tru News Report, shedding light on the well-known tactics employed by politicians to entice delegates with enticing gifts in exchange for votes.
In an exclusive interview with Tru News Report, one of the delegates expressed that elections like this bring about moments of happiness, as they often benefit from the politicians. However, these benefits are usually limited to a one-time occurrence.
The young man revealed that in the previous year, for example, some individuals were offered refrigerators and a substantial amount of money as inducement fees to influence their votes.
Nevertheless, he also mentioned that the situation can sometimes be frustrating, as the leaders of the delegates are divided into different factions or ‘camps’ and refuse to distribute the funds to those who do not belong to their respective camps.
